I'm Nancy, graphic designer, illustrator, maker, storyteller and small business champion.

As a 'younger' mom, I loved scrapbooking and the creative outlet for reflecting on life and storytelling. I eventually morphed into a digital scrapbooker, aligning paper arts with my graphic design background. One thing led to another...
I've been illustrating for Taylored Expressions since 2008, when Taylor first contacted me to create a new banner for her blog. We’ve created so many products—stamp sets, dies, embossing folders and stencils—since our first stamp set was released in March 2009. As the industry has changed with new tools and techniques, my illustration style has evolved too. It’s been the very best of creative journeys.
Now, I live in Belleville, Ontario with my Realtor husband, our 3 kids (when they're home from university) and our bernedoodle River. I partner with passionate people who need my design skills to tell their story and give their brand direction.
Working with me
I like to get to know each of my clients and what their business does and means to them —the heart of their business, you could say. I'll have a LOT of questions during our first meeting to streamline the process. We'll work together and I'll check in along the way with options. When your design is custom-crafted for you, you'll know I listened. You'll have meaningful, lasting branding and a website that works—everything I design for you will feel natural, fit your audience and tell your story.
WHEN I'M NOT IN MY STUDIO
When I'm not in my studio designing, writing or illustrating, I love to explore the area where we live. We recently moved after 20 years in Oakville to the Belleville/Prince Edward County area.
I could be hiking with our dog River; skiing at the Sandbanks; running on the Waterfront Trail; staging one of my husband's listings; enjoying ceramics classes in Picton; or at home reading, knitting or making something (maybe even dinner).

A FEW FACTS
FACT # 1

I lived in Norway as an exchange to student for a year when I was 17. My host mother called me 'flink,' which means clever and good at what you do. The name stuck with me all of these years.
FACT # 2

The first and only card I ever submitted to PaperCrafts Magazine made it on the cover of the May/June 2011 issue. However,
I feel like I'm published everyday when I see people posting their beautiful projects using my stamp designs.
FACT # 3
​
I started running the year our son Henri went through cancer treatment. That year I ran in 9 events including 3 half marathons. Together with my family, I still run for Camp Ooch just like I’ve been doing on Mother’s Day since 2015.
